Responsibilities

• Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, or repairs.
• Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures in compliance with codes.
• Dismantle electrical systems, replacing or upgrading components to ensure safe operations.
• Diagnose malfunctioning systems and components using electrical testing devices and schematics.
• Adhere to performance standards and safety guidelines to minimize risks and hazards.
• Collaborate with project teams to interpret electrical system blueprints and diagrams.
• Prepare and submit detailed work reports of operations and completed projects.
• Maintain electrical equipment inventory and manage timely replacement or repair of tools.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior electricians in training and development efforts.
• Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and team members regarding project needs.
• Plan layout and installation of wiring, equipment, and fixtures based on job specifications.
• Stay updated on the latest electrical codes, safety standards, and industry trends.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; an additional qualification in electrical technology is preferred.
• Proven experience as an electrician with a valid electrician’s license or certification.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, wiring diagrams, and safety regulations.
• Demonstrated ability to use electrical testing equipment and hand tools proficiently.
• Competency in reading blueprints, technical diagrams, and equipment specifications.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills with a solution-focused approach for resolving issues.
• Physical stamina and ability to work in constrained positions or at heights when required.
