Electrical Site Engineer (225-830)

As an Electrical Site Engineer, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the effective implementation of electrical engineering projects on-site. You will be responsible for the management, supervision, and coordination of electrical systems for a variety of infrastructure projects, ensuring that all work is done in accordance with industry standards, safety regulations, and project specifications. This role requires you to be both technically adept in electrical engineering concepts and possess robust leadership skills to manage and direct a team of engineering professionals and subcontractors. You will work closely with other engineers, construction managers, and clients to ensure the successful and timely completion of projects within budgetary constraints. Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage all on-site electrical installation activities and personnel.
• Ensure compliance with electrical codes and safety standards during project execution.
• Coordinate with project managers and other engineers to integrate electrical designs seamlessly.
• Oversee the testing and commissioning of electrical systems to ensure operational efficiency.
• Review and interpret technical drawings and schematics for proper application on-site.
• Prepare and maintain accurate project documentation and reports for stakeholders.
• Lead troubleshooting efforts and implement solutions for electrical engineering issues.
• Conduct site inspections to monitor progress and assess electrical systems for compliance.
• Collaborate with procurement to ensure timely delivery of electrical equipment and materials.
• Manage sub-contractors and vendors to ensure adherence to project timelines and budgets.
• Identify potential risks and develop mitigation plans to avoid project delays.
• Provide technical guidance and support to junior staff and other team members.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a relevant technical field is required.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar electrical site engineering role.
• Proficiency with electrical installation practices, codes, and safety regulations.
• Strong capability in reading and interpreting electrical blueprints and schematics.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to handle site challenges effectively.
• Strong leadership skills with the capacity to manage and motivate project teams.
• Effective communication skills for collaboration with stakeholders and reporting.
• Familiarity with project management software and tools is highly desirable.
• Available to work on-site and manage significant travel to project locations.
