Job Description

As a Restaurant Assistant Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our dining establishment. You will work closely with the restaurant manager and the team to deliver exceptional customer service, uphold quality standards, and maintain a welcoming and organized environment. Your leadership will guide daily activities, and your expertise will contribute significantly to the restaurant's success. Emphasizing customer satisfaction, you will work to foster a positive dining experience for our patrons. Additionally, your role will involve staff training, inventory management, and addressing customer concerns promptly. Your ability to multitask, solve problems on the fly, and maintain composure during peak hours will be critical. With an eye for detail and a passion for hospitality, you will ensure that both the front and back of the house operate harmoniously. As a vital link between upper management and staff, your communication skills will facilitate efficient operations and foster a collaborative team environment.


Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily restaurant operations and ensure smooth workflow across all departments.
  • Assist in hiring, training, and supervising restaurant staff to maintain a productive team.
  • Monitor food quality and service standards, maintaining customer satisfaction consistently.
  • Address customer inquiries and resolve complaints promptly to ensure a positive experience.
  • Collaborate with kitchen and wait staff to ensure efficient food service and presentation.
  • Manage inventory, placing orders when necessary to prevent stock shortages.
  • Assist in developing sales targets and strategies to maximize revenue generation.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations to uphold restaurant standards.
  • Participate in creating and implementing marketing initiatives to attract customers.
  • Oversee cash handling, ensuring transactions are processed accurately and securely.
  • Work closely with the restaurant manager to set staff schedules and shifts effectively.
  • Analyze financial reports and provide feedback to improve operational efficiency.


Requirements

  • Proven experience in restaurant management or a hospitality-related field.
  • Strong leadership skills with an ability to inspire and motivate a team.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential.
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities, with a customer-focused mindset.
  • Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of food safety requirements and health regulations is necessary.
  • Experienced in staff training, inventory management, and cost control practices.
