Responsibilities
Assist the head chef and sous chef in preparing food dishes daily.
Prepare ingredients with precision according to the standard recipes provided.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations and kitchen areas.
Ensure high food safety standards are practiced at all times.
Participate in training sessions to enhance cooking techniques and skills.
Ensure all kitchen equipment is properly cleaned and maintained.
Assist with the storage of deliveries and ingredient inventory management.
Contribute to menu development by suggesting innovative dish ideas.
Follow instructions from the head chef to support restaurant operations.
Provide assistance to other stations in the kitchen as required.
Ensure timely preparation of food orders in an efficient manner.
Uphold all restaurant policies and procedures during every shift.
Requirements
Previous experience in a similar kitchen environment is preferable.
Possess a culinary degree or equivalent professional cooking experience.
Strong ability to follow detailed instructions and recipes accurately.
Capability to work under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen setting.
Ability to stand for extended periods during the work shift.
Demonstrated knowledge in basic food hygiene and health safety standards.
Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and holidays.
Exceptional time management skills with attention to punctuality.
A team player with good communication skills and a positive attitude.
Desire to learn and continuously improve culinary skills and knowledge.
