Job Description

The Supply Chain Coordinator is an integral role within the logistics and supply chain management sector, focusing on facilitating and optimizing the end-to-end supply chain process. This role involves coordinating various aspects of the supply chain to ensure efficient and timely delivery of products. The Supply Chain Coordinator is responsible for maintaining effective communication with suppliers, logistics providers, and internal teams to ensure smooth operations. Their duties may include preparing and overseeing inventory lists, coordinating transportation schedules, managing contracts, and processing shipments. The ability to analyze data and forecast needs is crucial for identifying opportunities for cost reduction and process enhancement. 


Responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily supply chain operations to ensure timely delivery of goods distribution.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with vendors and logistics partners.
  • Monitor supplier performance to ensure quality and delivery standards are maintained.
  • Prepare shipment documentation accurately to comply with regulatory and company policies.
  • Analyze supply chain data to identify efficiency improvement and cost reduction opportunities.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of supply chain strategies and processes.
  • Track, trace, and expedite shipments while minimizing delays and disruptions.
  • Maintain effective communication with internal departments to align logistics operations with business operations.
  • Create forecasts and manage inventory levels based on demand projections.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable import, export laws, and company procedures.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to manage supply chain risks proactively and effectively.
  • Update and maintain supply chain documentation, records, and reports for review and analysis.


Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in supply chain coordination or logistics management roles required.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex supply chain data.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail with multitasking abilities.
  • Effective communication skills crucial for building relationships with stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced skills in Excel spreadsheets.
  • Familiarity with logistics software or enterprise resource planning systems preferred.
