Job Description

As a Site Foreman, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that construction projects are completed efficiently, safely, and within the set deadlines. You will be responsible for managing on-site personnel and coordinating the various activities occurring on the construction site. Your primary goal is to supervise the day-to-day operations and act as the key link between different teams, including contractors, engineers, and project managers. You must possess excellent organizational and leadership skills as well as the ability to problem solve and make informed decisions under pressure. Working as a Site Foreman requires a strong focus on quality control and a thorough understanding of health and safety regulations to ensure all team members are compliant and risk is minimized.


Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations and manage on-site personnel effectively and efficiently.
  • Ensure construction projects are delivered on time and within budget constraints.
  • Coordinate the delivery of materials and equipment necessary for site operations.
  • Maintain clear and constant communication with project managers and other key stakeholders.
  • Enforce compliance with health, safety, and legal regulations on construction sites.
  • Address any emergencies or unexpected complications that occur on-site promptly.
  • Review work schedules and delegate responsibilities among team members accordingly.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and ensure quality standards.
  • Train new employees on site protocols, safety procedures, and work standards.
  • Document and report on the project's progress and any challenges encountered.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of supplies.
  • Resolve any conflicts or issues among workers and maintain a productive work environment.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Site Foreman or similar leadership role in construction.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction procedures, equipment, and OSHA guidelines.
  • Strong leadership and teamwork abilities blended with excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple tasks.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; a diploma in construction a plus.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings accurately.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective team collaboration.
