As a Physiotherapist, you will provide integrated care, support and treatment through physiotherapy services to patients, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation of musculoskeletal and other related conditions. You will contribute to the overall well-being of patients by reducing injury-related downtime, enhancing recovery processes, and promoting long-term physical wellness through tailored treatment plans, preventative care, and health education. You will be accountable for clinical decisions and outcome of intervention and collaborate with other healthcare professionals within the clinic to deliver integrated care and support to our patients.

In This Role, You Will

  • Perform physical assessments to patients in need, to provide a personalised physical profile through standardized protocols and equipment. Adapt practice to meet the needs of different groups and individuals.
  • Undertake observational and functional assessments of individuals relevant to their presenting condition to identify and characterise any abnormality, while considering the specific physical requirements of their job.
  • Identify, analyse and interpret potentially significant information from the physical assessment (including any ambiguities).
  • Record the information gathered through assessments concisely and accurately, for clinical management and in compliance with local protocols, legal and professional requirements.
  • Develop evidence based, person-centred rehabilitation programmes. Draw on clinical knowledge and experience to provide a programme that allows the individual to regain a functional level to meet highly specialised and physically demanding job roles and regulatory requirements.
  • Advise on the expected benefits and limitations of different rehabilitative interventions used in managing specific MSK conditions. Provide advice on restoring function, including graded return to normal activity, navigation to self-management resources, and modifying activity for limited time periods.
  • Provide early information related to the pathology, surgical outcomes, recovery and final full function of musculoskeletal injuries, to other members of the multi-disciplinary team based on professional expertise. Collaborate with other members of the multi-disciplinary team to expedite and integrate an individuals care. Recognise deviation from expected recovery timeframes and the development of complications and communicate effectively with team members to maximise outcomes.
  • Analyse and interpret function and range of motion data and compiling a comprehensive report based on the findings. Measure patients progress, evaluate the effects of therapy treatment and communicate patients progress to the team members and the patient. Analyse and adjust the rehabilitation exercises and tasks in order to achieve the desired outcome.
  • Determine whether an employee or applicant meets the physical requirements or certification standards for a specific job. Use knowledge of job demands, the individuals functional abilities, and regulatory requirements to certify that the employee is physically fit to perform their role.
  • Maintain continued professional development in the field of physiotherapy and rehabilitation. Provide practical input into the continual improvement of services provided to the employee and employer.

Qualification

To be successful in this role, you must meet the following requirements:

  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience supported by a post-graduate diploma
  • Completion of Physiotherapy undergraduate course with post-graduate working experience
  • DHA License (or eligibility)

You Should Demonstrate Clinical Knowledge Which Covers

  • Complex wrist and hand physiotherapy
  • Pre- and post-operative rehabilitation of the neck, low back, upper and lower extremities
  • Functional assessment of manual workers
  • Manual technique and exercise rehabilitation

Youll Have An Edge If You Have

  • Post graduate experience and qualifications in the field of MSK conditions: manual therapy, exercise and sports medicine, orthopaedic physiotherapy, etc.
  • Accredited physiotherapy training in hand therapy.
  • Past experience working in multi-disciplinary teams.
