Job Description

An Outdoor Sales Representative plays a crucial role within a company by building relationships and establishing new sales networks to promote and sell products or services directly in the market and to a defined territory. This dynamic position requires strong interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills to effectively engage potential customers and understand their needs. The Outdoor Sales Representative advocates the benefits of the product or service, aligns them with the customer's requirements, and thus successfully closes sales deals. Becoming a trusted consultant, this role often involves traveling to meet potential clients, investigating the market, maintaining the company’s image, and facilitating the growth of the business by predicting consumer behavior and product performance. Customer satisfaction is at the core, ensuring repeat sales and referrals, which contribute to the overall sales targets and growth objectives of the organization.


Responsibilities

  • Identify potential customers and actively seek out new sales opportunities.
  • Conduct market research to evaluate retailer needs and perspective.
  • Visiting potential clients to present products and services effectively.
  • Negotiate and close sales deals with various clients successfully.
  • Achieve stipulated sales targets set by the organization regularly.
  • Build and maintain a strong network of customers within the market.
  • Report sales statistics, challenges, and customers' feedback promptly.
  • Attend meetings, sales events, and training sessions as required.
  • Stay informed on competitive products, pricing, and promotions continuously.
  • Collaborate and coordinate with team members and other departments.
  • Ensure delivery and after-sales services meet customer expectations.
  • Follow up on regular client interactions to maintain relationships and repeat sales.


Requirements

  • Proven experience in sales, preferably as an Outdoor Sales Representative.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation abilities are necessary.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed established sales goals.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software experience preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to travel frequently to attend client meetings and sales events.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent; a bachelor’s degree is a plus.
