The Accounts Assistant will play a crucial role within the finance department by assisting with financial record maintenance and reporting. As an Accounts Assistant, the candidate will be responsible for supporting the financial team in day-to-day operations, managing invoices, maintaining financial records, and ensuring compliance with company policies. Responsibilities

  • Keep detailed financial records accurate and up-to-date to ensure integrity.
  • Assist in preparing monthly financial reports for management decision-making processes.
  • Reconcile bank statements to ensure all transactions are correctly recorded.
  • Support the accounts payable and receivable processes by ensuring complete accuracy.
  • Conduct initial invoice verification, ensuring approval from relevant authorities.
  • Assist in monitoring expenses and budget adherence throughout projects.
  • Coordinate with departments to solve discrepancies in financial documents.
  • Process payments promptly, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with auditors during routine audits to facilitate smooth auditing processes.
  • Provide support in compiling financial data for taxation and compliance purposes.
  • Maintain confidentiality and security of financial information at all times.
  • Offer administrative support within the finance department on various tasks.


Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
  • Minimum two years of experience in an accounting role necessary.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks or other accounting software is essential.
  • Solid understanding of financial regulations and accounting principles mandatory.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy vital in accounting tasks.
  • Good communication and interpersonal abilities to work collaboratively.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve discrepancies within financial records effectively.
  • Working knowledge of spreadsheet and data entry applications important.
  • Aptitude for handling numerical data and preparing analytical reports necessary.
  • Familiarity with payroll and billing processes should be considered an advantage.
