Leasing Consultant

The Leasing Consultant is the face of a residential or commercial property, serving as the primary liaison between potential tenants and property management. This role involves guiding prospective tenants through the leasing process, showcasing available units, and maintaining strong relationships with current residents. The ideal candidate is personable, sales-driven, and detail-oriented, ensuring high occupancy rates and tenant satisfaction while adhering to leasing policies and procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct property tours and explain features and leasing terms to potential tenants

• Manage leasing applications, screenings, and lease agreements

• Follow up with prospective clients and maintain an active leads pipeline

• Ensure all vacant units are market-ready and assist in staging if needed

• Process renewals, transfers, and move-out notices

• Maintain accurate records of interactions and leasing metrics

• Respond to inquiries via phone, email, and in-person promptly

• Assist with marketing efforts, including online listings and community outreach

• Coordinate with maintenance for unit readiness and resident requests

• Monitor market trends and recommend pricing strategies

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience in real estate or leasing

• 2+ years of experience in leasing, property management, or sales

• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills

• Familiarity with leasing software 

• Excellent communication and negotiation skills

• Knowledge of local housing laws and regulations

• Well-organized with a proactive mindset
