Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented MEP Engineer to support its Tenant Fit-Out Management Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing, coordinating, and monitoring all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing works associated with tenant fit-outs across commercial, retail, and F&B spaces for a master developer in Dubai. The role involves close collaboration with tenants, consultants, contractors, and internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with design guidelines, safety standards, and delivery timelines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and approve tenant MEP design submissions, shop drawings, and method statements in line with the clients’ standards and local authority regulations.
  • Coordinate MEP-related technical reviews and approvals in collaboration with design, operations, and authority liaison teams.
  • Conduct site inspections to monitor the quality, progress, and compliance of MEP installations during tenant fit-out works.
  • Support the Tenant Coordination team in identifying and resolving technical issues, design clashes, and service integration challenges.
  • Liaise with base-build contractors and asset operations teams to ensure interface works and connection points are clearly defined and delivered.
  • Assist in managing the authority approvals process for MEP-related services (DEWA, Civil Defence, Dubai Municipality, etc.).
  • Maintain technical records, approval logs, and progress trackers related to MEP deliverables.
  • Ensure implementation of sustainability objectives, energy efficiency standards, and operational requirements in MEP systems.
  • Provide technical support to tenants and their consultants/contractors from pre-fit-out to completion and handover.

Skills, Knowledge And Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or a related field).
  • 5–7 years of relevant experience in MEP design review and/or site supervision within tenant fit-outs, preferably in mixed-use, retail, or exhibition developments.
  • Strong knowledge of UAE building codes, regulations, and authority approval processes.
  • Experience working with AutoCAD, Revit, and other MEP coordination tools.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple fit-outs simultaneously.
  • Previous experience working with developers, master developers, or property owners is preferred.
  • Fluency in English; Arabic is a plus.
