Job Description

As an IP Coding Team Leader, you will play a pivotal role in guiding and managing a team within the field of intellectual property (IP) coding. This position requires a unique blend of leadership skills and technical expertise. The IP Coding Team Leader will ensure the effective and accurate coding of IP assets and monitor each team member's progress to achieve optimal productivity. You will be responsible for strategizing and implementing processes that improve team efficiency while maintaining the quality of output. In this role, you will work closely with other departments to align objectives and maintain the integrity and security of IP data. With a focus on collaboration and innovation, this position offers an opportunity to make a significant impact within a dynamic and thriving organization.


Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of IP coders to achieve departmental goals.
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance team productivity and efficiency.
  • Ensure the accuracy and completeness of IP code assignments and reports.
  • Conduct regular training and development sessions to enhance team skills.
  • Collaborate with other managers to share best practices for process improvements.
  • Monitor team performance metrics and provide constructive feedback and support.
  • Resolve complex IP coding issues and provide technical guidance to team members.
  • Prepare and present reports on team performance and project progress to senior management.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and legal regulations related to IP handling.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive team environment that encourages open communication.
  • Manage and allocate resources effectively to meet the changing needs of the team.
  • Maintain the confidentiality and security of sensitive IP information and data.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or equivalent work experience in IP coding.
  • Previous experience in a leadership role within a similar industry or field.
  • Strong knowledge of intellectual property laws, practices, and coding procedures.
  • Proven ability to manage and develop high-performance teams with diverse skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
