Job Description

The Housekeeping Attendant plays a crucial role in ensuring a clean, comfortable, and safe environment for residents, guests, and staff. This position requires a detail-oriented individual who can manage multiple tasks efficiently and take pride in upholding high standards of cleanliness and hygiene. As a Housekeeping Attendant, you will work both independently and as part of a team, contributing to the overall guest experience by maintaining tidiness and order within various settings. Responsibilities

  • Clean and sanitize assigned areas including public spaces, rooms, and offices according to established standards.
  • Replenish supplies such as towels, toiletries, and linens in guest rooms and bathrooms.
  • Report any maintenance issues, damages, or safety hazards to the supervisor immediately.
  • Ensure all cleaning equipment is maintained and stored safely after use.
  • Adhere to company policies on health, safety, and hygiene guidelines strictly.
  • Assist guests with queries or requests in a polite and efficient manner.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to complete tasks promptly and efficiently.
  • Perform deep cleaning tasks and additional housekeeping services as required.
  • Organize and restock cleaning carts and storage closets at the end of each shift.
  • Monitor and report inventory shortages of cleaning supplies to management.
  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality regarding guest information and activities.
  • Participate in training sessions and seminars to enhance cleaning skills and techniques.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in housekeeping or similar roles is highly desirable.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to excellence in work.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Good communication skills with a focus on customer service satisfaction.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Physical fitness, as this role involves periods of standing and lifting.
  • Basic understanding of cleaning chemicals and safe handling procedures.
