Driver

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Driver to join our team to ensure the safe and efficient transportation of our goods and personnel. As a Driver, your primary responsibility will be to operate company vehicles to facilitate the movement of products, services, and personnel while adhering to assigned schedules and route itineraries. You will also be responsible for the maintenance and cleanliness of the vehicle, conducting routine pre-trip inspections, and ensuring adherence to road safety guidelines. The ideal candidate will possess excellent driving skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. A passion for customer service, punctuality, and a commitment to safe driving practices are essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities

• Transport goods and personnel safely to assigned destinations, while maintaining a professional demeanor.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections on vehicles to ensure safety and functionality.
• Maintain logs and records of work performed, detailing locations, times, and issues encountered.
• Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, regulations, and safety guidelines while driving.
• Manage time effectively to ensure timely arrivals and departures as per schedule.
• Report accidents, vehicle damage, or mechanical issues promptly to the supervisor.
• Keep the company's vehicles clean, fueled, and presentable at all times.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and operate GPS and mapping software efficiently.
• Assist in loading and unloading cargo, ensuring the securement of loads at all times.
• Provide excellent customer service, addressing any client inquiries and concerns thoughtfully.
• Engage in regular training sessions to stay updated on driving practices and safety measures.
• Support warehouse operations or additional tasks as needed upon arrival at destination points.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record over the past two years.
• Proven experience as a driver, with excellent knowledge of local routes.
• Ability to operate a wide range of vehicles, including cars and light trucks.
• Strong understanding of vehicle maintenance needs and troubleshooting capability.
• Excellent time management skills and punctuality in adhering to scheduled routes.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for customer interactions.
• Physical ability to perform manual tasks related to loading and unloading cargo.
