Barista (Coffee - Hot/Cold)

As a Barista specializing in both hot and cold coffee beverages, you will be responsible for creating and serving high-quality coffee drinks to customers. Your passion for coffee, creativity in crafting beverages, and exceptional customer service will contribute to a positive and memorable coffee experience for patrons.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, including espresso, lattes, cappuccinos, iced coffees, and specialty drinks.
• Grind coffee beans, extract espresso shots, and steam milk to create balanced and flavorful drinks.
• Create visually appealing coffee presentations with latte art and garnishes.
• Ensure drinks are served at the appropriate temperature and consistency.
• Greet customers with a friendly and welcoming attitude.
• Take orders, answer questions about menu items, and offer recommendations.
• Customize coffee drinks based on customer preferences, such as adjusting sweetness levels, milk choices, and flavor additions.
• Prepare orders accurately and efficiently, maintaining a smooth flow of service during peak hours.
• Coordinate with other team members to ensure timely order delivery.
• Maintain a clean and organized coffee preparation area, including equipment, utensils, and work surfaces.
• Follow hygiene and food safety guidelines at all times.
• Monitor coffee bean and ingredient levels, restocking as needed.
• Assist in inventory control and ordering supplies.
• Handle cash and process transactions accurately using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
• Stay informed about the coffee menu, seasonal offerings, and promotions.
• Educate customers about different coffee profiles and brewing methods.
• Provide excellent customer service by engaging with patrons, addressing concerns, and ensuring a positive experience.
• Participate in barista training programs to enhance your coffee knowledge and brewing techniques.

• High school diploma or equivalent. Additional certification or training in barista skills is beneficial.
• Previous experience as a Barista in a coffee shop or café setting is preferred.
• Passion for coffee and a strong understanding of coffee types, brewing methods, and flavors.
• Creativity in latte art and beverage presentation.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with customers and colleagues.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple orders simultaneously.
• Attention to detail and consistency in beverage preparation.
• Basic math skills for cash handling and order processing.
• Adaptability to different customer preferences and coffee trends.
• Knowledge of hygiene and food safety regulations.
