Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Sales Manager to lead and manage the sales operations of our heavy machinery division. The Sales Director will be responsible for developing strategic sales plans, leading a high-performing sales team, driving revenue growth, and ensuring market expansion within the construction, mining, logistics, and infrastructure sectors.


Key Responsibilities (KRAs):

1. Strategic Sales Leadership

  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans aligned with company objectives.
  • Set annual sales targets and KPIs for the sales team and ensure consistent achievement.
  • Forecast short-term and long-term market potential and align sales strategies accordingly.

2. Business Development & Market Expansion

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities and key accounts in the UAE and surrounding GCC markets.
  • Establish and grow partnerships with contractors, government entities, construction firms, and rental companies.
  • Lead tendering processes and negotiations for large equipment deals.

3. Team Management & Development

  • Recruit, train, mentor, and lead a team of Sales Managers, Engineers, and Coordinators.
  • Foster a high-performance sales culture and support continuous development through coaching.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and implement individual development plans.

4. Customer Relationship Management

  • Maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders.
  • Ensure excellent customer satisfaction and after-sales service coordination.
  • Handle major client escalations and ensure resolution in line with company standards.

5. Sales Operations & Reporting

  • Manage the sales pipeline using CRM tools; ensure timely reporting and sales forecasting.
  • Monitor pricing, margins, and profitability across product lines.
  • Collaborate with marketing, service, and logistics departments to ensure customer requirements are met.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • MBA is a strong advantage.

Experience:

  • 7+ years of progressive experience in heavy machinery or construction equipment sales, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets in the GCC region.
  • Experience in selling brands such as Caterpillar, Komatsu, Volvo, Liebherr, Hitachi, or similar is highly desirable.
  • Experience working in the UAE with knowledge of customer expectations, service norms, and safety regulations.

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Strong understanding of heavy machinery applications in construction, mining, and logistics.
  • Familiarity with UAE/GCC market dynamics, tendering processes, and import/export regulations.
  • Deep knowledge of commercial terms (Incoterms, LC, payment terms).
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems and MS Office Suite.
  • Arabic language skills are a plus.
