Assistant IT Manager

The Assistant IT Manager supports the strategic and operational IT needs of the organization, working closely with the IT Manager to maintain, upgrade, and secure systems. This role involves supervising daily IT operations, coordinating with vendors, supporting infrastructure and users, and ensuring high uptime and service delivery. Ideal for a tech-savvy leader ready to step into IT management responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in planning and executing IT strategies aligned with business goals

• Supervise support technicians and helpdesk operations

• Oversee daily IT infrastructure including networks, servers, and hardware

• Monitor system performance and implement enhancements

• Support security initiatives including backups, firewalls, and antivirus systems

• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues across departments

• Ensure documentation of system processes and configurations

• Manage IT inventory and procurement

• Assist with budget planning and cost optimization for IT assets

• Coordinate with vendors and service providers for IT services

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field

• 4+ years of IT experience with at least 1 in a supervisory role

• Solid understanding of networks, servers, security, and ITIL practices

• Familiarity with Windows/Linux environments and enterprise systems

• Excellent problem-solving and multitasking abilities

• Strong communication and team leadership skills
