Role Purpose
Responsibility for the financial management, business planning and budgetary processes of the Middle East (MEAA) portfolio
Business Partnering, improving business efficiency and commercial decision making by enhancing management information and financial forecasting
Providing and maintain a strong financial management and control environment with appropriate processes
Working with the VP of Finance and portfolio heads in the Middle East to implement and execute business strategy
Responsibilities and Accountabilities
Working with commercial teams to track performance of events and report them at month-end
Liaising with London/Middle East finance teams to ensure journals are corrected posted for monthly management accounts
Providing quality, value added commentary and analysis
Managing the budgeting and forecasting process across the Middle East portfolio
Developing, implementing and managing on-going measures to enhance financial and management information including appropriate KPIs and metrics
Ensuring a strong financial control environment is maintained and that DMG Event policies are communicated, implemented and complied with
Preparing business plans and monitoring performance against them
Calculating/reviewing commission/bonus payments to ensure compliance with individual schemes
Carrying out any reasonable project work / ad hoc task as requested
Attending training and development as required

Job-Specific Skills:
Extensive tax knowledge.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a tax manager or similar role, preferably in a corporate setting.
Strong accounting, analytical and research expertise.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Mature, proactive, resourceful and hands-on with good initiative.
Outstanding Management skills.
Strong knowledge of tax code, compliance, and procedures for corporations.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Technical / Functional
Membership of a recognized accounting professional body preferred (ACA/ACCA/CIMA/CPA) with 3 - 5 years post qualified experience
Experience of managing a direct report
Experience of working with overseas offices
Commercially focused with commercial finance experience
Proven track record in developing, cultivating and maintaining strong relationships with senior business leaders that enables open and collaborative communication
Strong project management skills
Advanced Excel skills to Macro and pivot table level,
Experience in relevant systems useful (Salesforce, PowerBI, FinancialForce)
