Job Description

The role of an Assistant Manager - Credit is pivotal within any financial institution or credit agency. This position involves supporting the credit department by overseeing credit policies, analyzing credit data, and assessing the creditworthiness of applicants. Responsibilities

  • Review credit applications and conduct risk assessments in line with company guidelines.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of credit policies and procedures.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry credit standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Support senior management in strategizing credit improvement and risk management plans.
  • Coordinate with credit analysts and underwriters to ensure timely processing of credit applications.
  • Communicate effectively with clients to clarify credit terms and resolve inquiries.
  • Monitor the organization's credit portfolio and prepare detailed reports for management.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement in credit assessment and management.
  • Ensure compliance with internal and external credit guidelines and regulations.
  • Conduct training sessions for junior staff on credit policy and procedures.
  • Foster a customer-focused approach in all credit-related interactions and decisions.
  • Liaise with other departments to ensure cohesive implementation of credit strategies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a credit-related role.
  • Proficiency in credit risk assessment tools and financial analysis techniques.
  • Strong leadership abilities with experience in managing or mentoring teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective client interactions.
  • Comprehensive understanding of industry regulations and compliance standards.
