Responsibilities

• Operate heavy forklifts to transport goods safely and efficiently throughout the facility.
• Perform daily equipment checks to ensure forklifts are in good working condition.
• Load and unload trucks with materials or products according to company standards.
• Perform inventory counts and keep accurate records of all movements and transactions.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to prevent workplace accidents.
• Collaborate with the warehouse and logistics teams to streamline operations.
• Secure loads on pallets to prevent damage during transport and storage.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the assigned work area and equipment.
• Report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs to the supervisor promptly.
• Assist in the training and mentoring of new and junior forklift operators.
• Coordinate with production teams to ensure timely delivery of materials to workstations.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a heavy forklift operator in a warehouse or industrial setting.
• Valid forklift certification with knowledge of heavy machinery operation and safety.
• Strong understanding of warehouse operations and logistics principles.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
• Excellent attention to detail, with strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as part of a team.
• Good communication skills and the ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
