Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Payroll & Compensation Manager to join our Global Compensation and Payroll Services team. In this role, you will implement and oversee global payroll and mobility compliance solutions for a diverse client portfolio, leveraging innovative technology to enhance efficiency, compliance, and service delivery. This position combines client engagement, payroll oversight, and project leadership, with the opportunity to work on transformative initiatives in a dynamic scale-up environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary point of contact for assigned clients, building strong relationships and delivering exceptional service.
  • Manage client-specific requirements, including payroll mapping, global cost tracking, and vendor collaboration.
  • Lead end-to-end payroll processes, ensuring accurate and timely execution in line with KPIs and SLAs.
  • Conduct data validation, reconciliations, and risk assessments to proactively identify and address issues.
  • Oversee year-end reporting, compensation summaries, and compliance documentation.
  • Spearhead client projects, consulting on process design, risk management, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Drive automation and innovation in payroll processes, partnering with technology teams to implement new solutions.
  • Ensure global payroll and mobility programs adhere to legal, tax, and expatriate compliance requirements.
  • Maintain audit-ready documentation and ensure regulatory deadlines are met.
  • Provide mentorship, training, and guidance to junior team members across multiple geographies.
  • Foster collaboration and professional development within a hybrid working structure.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Global Mobility, HR, Business, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience in global payroll, mobility compensation, or expatriate tax compliance.
  • Experience managing hybrid, multi-geography teams.

Skills

  • Strong expertise in managing complex compensation datasets for mobile employees.
  • Proficiency with digital tools (Microsoft Office, Google Workspace), data analysis, and visualization software.
  • Familiarity with project management applications and implementation methodologies.
  • Strong knowledge of global payroll compliance and expatriate tax frameworks.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and client service skills.
