A Mechanical Draughtsman is a vital member of the engineering and design team responsible for creating detailed technical drawings and plans for machinery and mechanical devices. As a Mechanical Draughtsman, you will convert concepts and designs into precise blueprints, ensuring that machinery and components are designed to specifications and that they meet both industry standards and client requirements. You will work closely with engineers and other professionals to translate ideas into functional documents, which can be fabricated, tested, and implemented. This role requires an eye for detail, proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software, and a solid understanding of mechanical components and manufacturing processes. Responsibilities

• Create detailed mechanical drawings using CAD software for machinery and components.
• Collaborate with engineers to develop technical specifications for mechanical designs.
• Ensure that all designs comply with industry standards and regulations.
• Revise and update existing drawings as required by design changes and feedback.
• Participate in project meetings to provide input on design specifications and limitations.

• Work with production teams to ensure the manufacturability of designed components.
• Conduct site visits to gather data and information for design purposes.
• Develop and maintain a library of design templates and standards.
• Use 3D modeling software to visualize and troubleshoot design concepts.
• Assist in the evaluation and selection of materials to optimize mechanical designs.

Requirements

• Proficient in CAD software, such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar programs.
• Diploma or degree in mechanical engineering or a related technical field.
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems, components, and manufacturing processes.
• Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing accurate drawings.
