Job Description

The role of a Van Sales cum Merchandiser is a dual-function position that combines the tasks of selling products directly from a van and ensuring that these products are well-presented and stocked at various retail outlets. This dynamic position requires an individual to have excellent sales acumen, exceptional customer service skills, and a keen eye for merchandising. As a Van Sales cum Merchandiser, you will interact directly with customers, manage inventory, and maintain the aesthetic arrangement of products. You play a critical role in driving sales and increasing brand visibility. The role demands flexibility, strong communication skills, and the ability to build long-lasting client relationships to ensure customer satisfaction and repeat business.


Responsibilities

  • Drive the sales van to various locations as per the scheduled route.
  • Sell products directly to retail and wholesale customers at assigned locations.
  • Maintain and rotate inventory within the van to ensure availability of products.
  • Display merchandise in an attractive and orderly manner in-store to maximize visibility.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships to facilitate loyalty and repeat sales.
  • Assist in executing promotional activities and monitor their effectiveness in boosting sales.
  • Monitor competitor activities and report findings to the sales team for strategic planning.
  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing queries and feedback promptly and efficiently.
  • Prepare and submit timely sales reports and order information to management.
  • Collect payments from clients, manage credit transactions, and ensure timely deposits.
  • Participate in regular training sessions to stay updated with the company's products.
  • Ensure the sales van is kept clean, well-maintained, and compliant with all regulations.

Requirements

  • Prior experience in van sales, customer service, or merchandising is preferred.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills to effectively engage with clients.
  • Proven ability to work independently and handle multiple customer accounts.
  • Valid driving license with a clean record and ability to travel as needed.
  • Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Flexible to work varying hours, including weekends and holidays if necessary.
  • Basic computer literacy to manage sales reporting and inventory records efficiently.
