Job Description

As a professional in MIS and Inventory Management, you will be at the heart of a company's supply chain, responsible for overseeing and ensuring the effective flow of goods and data across the organization. This role requires a dynamic individual who can leverage technology and managerial skills to monitor and optimize inventory levels, thereby minimizing costs and enhancing operational efficiency. Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement inventory management strategies to optimize stock levels efficiently.
  • Monitor inventory transactions and manage discrepancies to ensure accurate records.
  • Coordinate with the procurement team to align inventory needs with vendor supply schedules.
  • Utilize management information systems for data analysis to support business decisions.
  • Lead regular audits of physical inventory to confirm the accuracy of stock counts.
  • Implement inventory control procedures to minimize losses and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Train and manage team members on inventory processes and system usage effectively.
  • Prepare and present inventory performance reports to senior management regularly.
  • Identify trends in inventory data to forecast future production and purchasing needs.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards in inventory storage and handling.
  • Collaborate with IT to improve MIS functionalities for enhanced inventory reporting.
  • Evaluate and recommend technology solutions to improve inventory management processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, or related field.
  • Proven experience in MIS and inventory management within a relevant industry.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and inventory management software is essential.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with diverse teams.
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills and strategic thinking ability.
