Lift Technician

As a Lift Technician, you will be integral to the installation, repair, and maintenance of elevators, escalators, and moving walkways to ensure their efficient and safe operation. Responsibilities

• Conduct routine inspection and maintenance of elevators and escalators. Safety and performance are priorities.
• Diagnose elevator system malfunctions through detailed fault analysis and testing procedures.
• Install new lift systems and components in accordance with technical diagrams and instructions.
• Repair or replace faulty components, including motors, cables, and controls, when necessary.
• Perform safety tests and inspections to comply with industry standards and regulations.
• Stay updated on advancements in lift technology and safety protocols for better service.
• Provide technical support and troubleshoot problems reported by building administration.
• Ensure clear communication and collaboration with team members for joint repair activities.
• Complete service and repair reports promptly and accurately to maintain service records.
• Advise clients on system maintenance and improvement for better performance and safety.
• Respond promptly to emergency breakdown calls and rectify issues efficiently under pressure.
• Maintain safety procedures and protocols to prevent accidents and equipment damage.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification is advantageous for this role.
• Minimum of three years of experience in elevator maintenance and repair required.
• Proficient understanding of mechanical and electrical elevator systems essential.
• Ability to interpret technical diagrams and manuals for equipment installations.
• Solid problem-solving skills with a strong attention to technical detail in work.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members.
• Willingness to work on-call hours for emergencies, including nights and weekends.
