Audio Visual Estimator

The Audio Visual (AV) Estimator is responsible for evaluating project requirements, preparing cost estimates, and assisting in the bidding process for AV installation projects. This role involves working with clients, vendors, and project managers to determine accurate pricing for AV systems, including lighting, sound, and display technologies. The ideal candidate has strong technical knowledge, analytical skills, and experience in the AV industry.

Responsibilities:

• Review project specifications, blueprints, and technical documents to develop accurate cost estimates.

• Prepare detailed bid proposals, including materials, labor, and equipment costs.

• Collaborate with sales, engineering, and project management teams to finalize estimates.

• Research and source AV equipment, pricing, and supplier options.

• Analyze project risks and recommend cost-effective solutions.

• Ensure estimates align with industry standards and project timelines.

• Maintain updated knowledge of AV technologies, installation methods, and market pricing trends.

• Assist in preparing project contracts and pricing documentation.

• Support client meetings and presentations to explain cost estimates.

• Track and manage historical cost data to refine future estimates.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Audio Visual Technology, or related field.

• Minimum 3 years of experience in AV estimation, design, or sales.

• Strong understanding of AV systems, including projection, sound, and automation.

• Proficiency in estimation software and CAD tools.

• Excellent numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

• Strong communication and negotiation abilities.

• Attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
