Chemical Engineer

The Chemical Engineer is responsible for designing and optimizing chemical processes involved in production, transformation, and transportation of materials. This role is crucial for industries such as manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, and oil & gas, ensuring safety, sustainability, and efficiency in operations. The ideal candidate should possess strong analytical skills and experience in process engineering.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and design chemical manufacturing processes and systems

• Conduct research to optimize production efficiency and safety

• Monitor and troubleshoot operational plant issues

• Collaborate with R&D, quality, and production teams

• Perform chemical analysis and interpret results for process improvement

• Ensure compliance with environmental, safety, and health regulations

• Prepare technical reports and process documentation

• Participate in scale-up from lab to commercial production

• Design and maintain equipment and control systems

• Conduct cost-benefit analysis and process optimization initiatives

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or related field

• 3–5 years of experience in a process or chemical engineering role

• Strong understanding of chemical processes and safety standards

• Proficiency in simulation software (e.g., Aspen HYSYS, MATLAB)

• Analytical and problem-solving skills

• Knowledge of HAZOP, P&IDs, and process control systems

• Excellent communication and project management skills
