Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Indian Chef to join our dynamic culinary team in providing authentic and innovative Indian cuisine. As an Indian Chef, you will be responsible for creating and executing a variety of traditional and contemporary Indian dishes. You must have an in-depth knowledge of Indian cooking techniques, ingredients, and flavor profiles. Your creativity and passion for Indian cuisine will be essential in developing unique dishes that will delight our guests. Our ideal candidate is someone who can bring a fusion of authenticity and innovation to the table, ensuring that every dish is a culinary delight. You will also mentor and guide junior kitchen staff, maintaining the highest standards of food quality, safety, and hygiene.


Responsibilities

  • Design and execute authentic and innovative Indian culinary dishes and menus.
  • Maintain high standards of kitchen hygiene and sanitation procedures.
  • Oversee and guide junior kitchen staff in charge of Indian cuisine preparation.
  • Ensure consistent and high-quality food preparation and presentation.
  • Source fresh and authentic Indian ingredients to maintain food quality.
  • Manage kitchen operations related to Indian food section efficiently.
  • Develop new recipes and food offerings that enhance the dining experience.
  • Monitor food stock and place orders to maintain sufficient supplies.
  • Control kitchen budgets and optimize food and labor costs effectively.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.
  • Collaborate with culinary team to create diverse and balanced menus.
  • Conduct regular training sessions for staff on Indian cooking techniques.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as an Indian Chef in a professional kitchen setting.
  • Strong knowledge of Indian cooking methods and traditional recipes.
  • Ability to create innovative dishes while maintaining authenticity in flavors.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong understanding of food safety, health regulations, and hygiene standards.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Certification in Culinary Arts or related field is highly preferred.
