Job Description

A Construction Site Coordinator plays a pivotal role in facilitating communication and operational efficiency at construction sites. They are responsible for overseeing the daily activities on-site, ensuring that construction projects are completed on time and within budget. This role demands strong leadership and organizational skills, as the coordinator must liaise between site workers, project managers, and external contractors to harmonize efforts and streamline operations. An adept Construction Site Coordinator is proactive in identifying potential issues and implementing solutions to mitigate risks and ensure safety and compliance with legal and industry standards. Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage daily activities and progress at the construction site.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and resolve safety issues promptly.
  • Oversee material delivery schedules and inventory to prevent construction delays.
  • Liaise between project managers, architects, and site workers for project clarity.
  • Monitor site operations to ensure adherence to project timelines and budgets.
  • Implement site policies and procedures to maintain operational standards.
  • Conduct regular meetings with stakeholders to update on site progress and plans.
  • Identify potential risks and propose effective strategies to mitigate them.
  • Supervise and guide site staff to enhance productivity and efficiency.
  • Resolve conflicts that arise among team members and contractors on site.
  • Prepare and present reports on site activities, issues, and achievements regularly.
  • Maintain documentation related to site operations and ensure accuracy and compliance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience, at least 3 years, in construction site management roles.
  • Strong understanding of construction methodologies and project planning principles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective team management.
  • Proficiency with construction management software and other relevant technologies.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently and meet deadlines consistently.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel between construction sites.
