Warehouse Supervisor

A Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a warehouse, including receiving, storage, inventory control, and shipping. They lead a team of warehouse workers, ensure efficient processes, and maintain a safe working environment. With excellent leadership skills and a strong understanding of warehouse management, a Warehouse Supervisor plays a key role in optimizing productivity and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of warehouse staff, including hiring, training, and performance management.
• Oversee all warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping.
• Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure efficient and accurate processes.
• Monitor inventory levels and conduct regular cycle counts to ensure accuracy and minimize stock discrepancies.
• Optimize warehouse layout and workflow to maximize space and increase productivity.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and implement measures to minimize workplace accidents.
• Collaborate with other departments to meet customer requirements and resolve any issues or delays in shipments.
• Analyze warehouse performance metrics and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of inventory, shipments, and other warehouse activities.
• Continuously identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction.

• High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in logistics or supply chain management is preferred.
• Proven experience as a Warehouse Supervisor or in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory control principles.
• Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in using warehouse management systems (WMS) and other software applications.
• Ability to effectively delegate tasks and manage a diverse team.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in warehouse management.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Forklift certification is a plus.
