Purchasing Analyst

The Purchasing Analyst is responsible for evaluating suppliers, analyzing purchasing data, and recommending procurement strategies to optimize cost, quality, and efficiency. This role plays a key part in ensuring an effective supply chain by conducting market research, tracking vendor performance, and supporting sourcing decisions. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical capabilities, attention to detail, and solid communication skills to maintain seamless purchasing operations.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze purchasing data and supplier performance to identify trends and opportunities.

• Conduct cost analysis and support negotiations for favorable pricing and terms.

• Collaborate with procurement and finance teams to align strategies with budgets.

• Monitor market trends and assess supplier risk.

• Prepare and present purchasing reports and forecasts to management.

• Evaluate supplier bids and assist in contract selection and approvals.

• Ensure timely and accurate processing of purchase orders and related documentation.

• Support continuous improvement initiatives across procurement processes.

• Maintain vendor master data and update procurement systems regularly.

• Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field.

• 2–4 years of experience in purchasing or supply chain analytics.

• Proficiency in MS Excel, ERP systems, and data analysis tools.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Understanding of procurement processes and contract terms.

• Ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.

• High attention to detail and data accuracy.

• Familiarity with market research and supplier evaluation.

• Strong organizational and time management skills.
