Job Description

A Registered Nurse (RN) is a vital member of the healthcare team, responsible for delivering comprehensive patient care and ensuring optimal healthcare outcomes. Working in diverse healthcare settings such as hospitals, clinics, and community health organizations, RNs apply their extensive medical knowledge and compassionate nature to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients of all ages. The role requires a blend of clinical expertise, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills. RNs must adhere to organizational protocols and national healthcare standards while maintaining patient dignity and confidentiality. Furthermore, Registered Nurses serve as educators for patients and their families regarding health maintenance and disease prevention, contributing significantly to the overall health and wellness of the community.


Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive assessments of patients' health conditions and craft personalized care plans.
  • Administer medications and treatments in accordance with prescribed healthcare plans.
  • Monitor and record patients' vital signs and medical histories thoroughly and accurately.
  • Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to develop effective treatment protocols.
  • Educate patients and their families about ongoing health management and disease prevention.
  • Ensure a safe and clean healthcare environment by adhering to infection control protocols.
  • Operate and monitor medical equipment necessary for patient diagnosis and treatment.
  • Provide emotional support and counseling to patients and their families during challenging times.
  • Participate in continuous professional development to stay updated with the latest nursing practices.
  • Supervise and mentor junior nursing staff, delegating tasks appropriately.
  • Document and report any changes in a patient’s condition to the healthcare team promptly.
  • Comply with legal regulations and institutional policies regarding healthcare delivery.

Requirements

  • Valid Registered Nurse license.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution preferred.
  • A minimum of 1–2 years of clinical nursing experience is advantageous.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective patient interaction.
  • Strong analytical skills to assess patient needs and intervene promptly.
  • Proficiency in using healthcare technology and electronic medical records systems.
  • Commitment to patient care, ethics, and maintaining patient confidentiality.
