Job Description

The Field IT Support Engineer is a critical role within our technology solutions team, responsible for providing on-site technical support and services to clients. This position requires the ability to travel to various client sites to troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve hardware and software issues. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, excellent problem-solving capabilities, and exceptional customer service skills. As a Field IT Support Engineer, you will be essential in ensuring that our clients' IT infrastructure runs efficiently and meets their operational demands. You will also be involved in setting up new hardware devices, installing software updates, and providing training sessions for users. Your ability to quickly adapt to new environments and challenges will ensure successful service delivery and client satisfaction.


Responsibilities

  • Travel to client sites to provide on-site IT support and service as required.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues on various platforms.
  • Install, configure, and maintain end-user workstations, including PCs and laptops.
  • Set up new hardware devices and peripherals for clients and businesses.
  • Provide training and first-level support for IT users and client personnel.
  • Maintain documentation of client environments and service interventions.
  • Collaborate with internal teams for advanced technical troubleshooting and solutions.
  • Ensure IT service requests and incidents are resolved promptly and effectively.
  • Advise clients on best practices in hardware and software management.
  • Perform scheduled maintenance and updates on client IT infrastructure.
  • Assist in the management of user accounts and access permissions.
  • Coordinate with vendors for the repair and replacement of defective equipment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in IT support with a strong technical background required.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to resolve complex issues.
  • Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software, and networking fundamentals.
  • Exceptional customer service skills with strong communication capabilities.
  • Capability to work independently and manage time effectively with minimal supervision.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required for travel to client sites.
