Job Overview

Arcadia Global School Al Furjan is seeking to appoint an experienced and proactive Primary Science Lab Technician to start immediately. The successful candidate will plan, prepare and organise laboratory experiments and demonstrations for students, ensuring that all materials and equipment are available and functioning correctly.

Requirements

• Degree with a focus on Sciences and Chemical procedures.
• Candidates should be knowledgeable in laboratory equipment operation and maintenance, data analysis, and report writing
• Minimum of three years’ experience in a British international school or equivalent educational setting.
• Strong knowledge of laboratory safety protocols and chemical handling.
• Desirable but not mandatory experience in setting up new science facilities.
  
  

• Ensure that all laboratory equipment, instruments, and tools are maintained and calibrated to meet safety and quality standards, including performing routine maintenance and troubleshooting issues as necessary.
• Collaborate with teaching staff to design and develop laboratory experiments and demonstrations that support the curriculum and promote student engagement and learning.
• Assist with the procurement and inventory of laboratory supplies and materials, including ordering and stocking items, tracking inventory levels, and monitoring expiration dates.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with advances in laboratory science and education and share knowledge and expertise with colleagues.
