Job Description: MetaTrader 5 (MT5) Engineer

Position Summary:
We are looking for a skilled MetaTrader 5 Engineer to design, develop, and support automated trading systems, expert advisors (EAs), indicators, and scripts on the MT5 platform. The ideal candidate will have strong programming skills in MQL5 and a solid understanding of financial markets and trading strategies.

🔧 Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain Expert Advisors (EAs), custom indicators, and scripts using MQL5.

• Integrate MT5 with external APIs, databases, or brokerage platforms (e.g., REST, WebSocket, FIX).

• Optimize and backtest trading strategies using historical data and MT5's Strategy Tester.

• Debug and troubleshoot existing codebases to ensure performance and accuracy.

• Monitor automated trading systems in live and simulated environments.

• Implement risk management, money management, and error-handling logic in automated strategies.

• Collaborate with traders, analysts, and other developers to translate strategy ideas into production-ready code.

• Ensure compliance with trading and operational risk guidelines.

• Document code, procedures, and workflows for internal use.

🛠️ Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proficiency in MQL5 programming language.

• Strong knowledge of MetaTrader 5 platform features and architecture.

• Experience with backtesting and optimization of trading strategies.

• Understanding of technical indicators, price action, and trading signals.

• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).

• Experience with integrating MT5 to databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and external APIs.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, or related field (preferred).

🌟 Preferred/Bonus Skills:

• Knowledge of Python, C++, or JavaScript for external tools or analytics.

• Experience with other trading platforms (e.g., MetaTrader 4, cTrader, TradingView/Pine Script).

• Understanding of financial instruments like Forex, CFDs, crypto, or futures.
