Job Description

An HR Generalist plays a pivotal role in the human resources department by managing a wide range of duties that ensure smooth HR operations within the organization. This role goes beyond administrative tasks and deeply involves employee relations, onboarding, performance management, compliance, and recruitment. The HR Generalist is responsible for developing and implementing HR policies, managing payroll, and ensuring that the organization adheres to labor laws and regulations. This position requires a robust understanding of human resources principles, excellent communication skills, and the ability to maintain confidentiality. The ideal candidate should be adaptable, with a proven ability to handle multiple priorities in a dynamic environment. Furthermore, an HR Generalist is expected to support employees and managers in solving HR-related issues, thereby fostering a motivated and cohesive workforce. This role is vital in aligning the workforce with the company's strategic goals while promoting a positive workplace culture.


Responsibilities

  • Administer and process employee payroll accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Develop, implement, and manage HR policies and procedures organization-wide.
  • Coordinate the recruitment and onboarding process for new employees effectively.
  • Facilitate employee training sessions to ensure high performance and compliance.
  • Advise and guide management on employee relations and development issues.
  • Ensure the organization complies with all local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Conduct performance management and appraisal activities to improve productivity.
  • Maintain employee records with a high degree of discretion and confidentiality.
  • Lead diversity and inclusion initiatives to enhance workplace culture.
  • Coordinate benefits programs and address employee inquiries efficiently.
  • Support the HR department in implementing HR strategies aligned with business goals.
  • Assist in resolving employee grievances and workplace conflicts amicably.


Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of HR experience as an HR Generalist or related position.
  • Strong understanding of labor laws and employment regulations is essential.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
  • Proven ability to manage and execute multiple HR processes simultaneously.
  • Experience using HRIS and other employee management software efficiently.
  • Certification such as PHR or SHRM-CP would be a plus but not required.
