Job Description

The role of a Housekeeping Attendant is integral to maintaining the cleanliness and tidiness of guest accommodations and public areas, thereby enhancing the guest experience. A Housekeeping Attendant ensures that all assigned rooms and hallways are cleaned to the highest standards, maintaining a welcoming and sanitary environment for hotel patrons. This position requires attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service. Housekeeping Attendants play a crucial role in upholding the reputation of the establishment by ensuring that every guest experiences a sense of comfort and satisfaction during their stay. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team are essential for success in this role.


Responsibilities

  • Clean and tidy all assigned guest rooms and public areas with precision.
  • Replace towels, linens, and other guest amenities as required each day.
  • Replenish any in-room supplies to uphold guest satisfaction and comfort.
  • Report any room damages or maintenance needs to the supervisor promptly.
  • Ensure all cleaning equipment is maintained and stored correctly after use.
  • Deliver exceptional service by responding to guests’ requests courteously.
  • Follow all health and safety regulations in place for housekeeping tasks.
  • Sort and remove trash and recycling from guest rooms and hotel areas.
  • Assist in deep-cleaning projects and perform additional cleaning duties as needed.
  • Restock housekeeping carts with supplies before returning to storage areas.
  • Cooperate with all team members and provide support in busy periods.
  • Maintain a positive and professional approach with all hotel staff and guests.

Requirements

  • Previous housekeeping experience in a hotel setting is preferred.
  • Ability to follow instructions and listen to hotel management directives carefully.
  • Physical stamina to carry out cleaning duties and operate equipment.
  • Strong time management skills to ensure all tasks are completed efficiently.
  • Excellent communication skills for interaction with guests and team members.
  • Knowledge of various cleaning products and familiarity with safe handling procedures.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
