Job Description

An ERP Project Manager is a crucial role within any organization that is implementing or upgrading an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system. This position serves as the bridge between the technical team and organizational stakeholders, ensuring that the project is aligned with business goals and delivered on time, within scope, and on budget. The ERP Project Manager will oversee all phases of the ERP lifecycle, from planning and design to deployment and support. They are responsible for managing cross-functional teams, allocating resources efficiently, mitigating risks, and ensuring user adoption through effective change management strategies. The ideal candidate should possess strong leadership qualities, extensive experience in ERP solutions, and a deep understanding of business processes to drive the project’s success and add value to the organization.


Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the full lifecycle of ERP implementation projects effectively.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans that outline project scope, goals, and timelines.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure project alignment and collaboration.
  • Allocate resources based on project needs and budget constraints efficiently.
  • Identify project risks promptly and develop strategies for their mitigation.
  • Communicate project progress and issues to stakeholders and senior management regularly.
  • Ensure that ERP solutions align with organizational objectives and business processes.
  • Facilitate workshops and training sessions to drive user adoption and proficiency.
  • Conduct post-implementation reviews to identify areas of improvement for future projects.
  • Establish key performance indicators to assess project success and deliverables.
  • Manage changes in project scope to ensure project goals remain achievable.
  • Stay updated with industry trends to enhance ERP practices and project outcomes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience managing ERP implementations or similar projects.
  • Strong understanding of ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics.
  • Proven project management skills with PMP or Prince2 certification preferred.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills are required.
  • Experience with change management and user adoption strategies is essential.
  • Ability to solve complex problems and make critical project decisions promptly.
