Job Description

An Ecommerce Specialist is a professional responsible for facilitating online sales through the development and execution of strategies to increase revenue, improve user experiences, and enhance brand visibility across digital retail platforms. These specialists play a critical role in digital transformation initiatives by leveraging their understanding of ecommerce platforms, user behaviors, and market trends. Their work encompasses a diverse range of activities including content management, site maintenance, conversion optimization, and data analysis to ensure optimal performance of online stores. They collaborate closely with marketing, IT, and supply chain teams to ensure that the ecommerce initiatives align with organizational objectives and customer expectations.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage ecommerce strategies to boost online sales and profitability.
  • Analyze online customer behaviors to enhance user experience and site functionality.
  • Coordinate with marketing teams to create effective digital campaigns and promotions.
  • Monitor ecommerce performance metrics and report findings to senior management.
  • Ensure the ecommerce platform is responsive, user-friendly, and efficient.
  • Manage and optimize product listings for SEO and improved search visibility.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to maintain and update website infrastructure.
  • Drive site enhancements and troubleshoot issues to improve functionality.
  • Liaise with supply chain to ensure accurate stock levels are displayed online.
  • Utilize analytics tools to understand and improve conversion rates.
  • Stay updated with industry trends to recommend innovations and improvements.
  • Ensure ecommerce activities comply with legal regulations and security standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, IT, or related field required.
  • Minimum of three years’ experience in ecommerce management or similar roles.
  • Proficient in using ecommerce platforms like Shopify, Magento, or WooCommerce.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in using Google Analytics and other tools.
  • Excellent understanding of digital marketing and SEO principles.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments.
