Biomedical Engineer

As a Biomedical Engineer, you will apply engineering principles and techniques to develop medical devices, equipment, and systems that improve healthcare delivery and patient outcomes. You will collaborate with healthcare professionals, scientists, and technicians to design, test, and maintain biomedical equipment. Responsibilities

• Designing and developing medical devices and equipment, such as prosthetics, imaging systems, and artificial organs
• Conducting research and testing to ensure the safety and effectiveness of biomedical equipment
• Collaborating with healthcare professionals to identify and understand clinical needs and requirements for biomedical devices
• Creating prototypes and conducting feasibility studies to evaluate design concepts
• Analyzing and interpreting data from diagnostic tests and equipment evaluations to improve performance and reliability
• Performing preventative maintenance and troubleshooting on biomedical equipment to ensure optimal functionality
• Developing and implementing quality assurance procedures and regulatory compliance documentation for biomedical equipment
• Keeping up-to-date with advancements in biomedical engineering through continued education and participation in professional development activities

• Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering or related field
• Knowledge of engineering principles and techniques applied to biomedical applications
• Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software for creating and modifying design concepts
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills for diagnosing and resolving technical issues
• Understanding of regulatory standards and guidelines for biomedical equipment
