Job Description

A Business Intelligence (BI) Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining business intelligence solutions. The primary role involves understanding data requirements, gathering, analyzing, and transforming data into meaningful insights that drive strategic business decisions. The BI Developer uses innovative data visualization techniques, combining them with thorough reporting, to help stakeholders understand trends and make informed business choices. This role requires a thorough understanding of database concepts and a strong analytical mindset to interrogate data sources effectively. Collaborating closely with data architects, engineers, and business analysts, the BI Developer ensures the BI tools and systems are optimized for performance and aligned with business objectives. Responsibilities

• Design and develop business intelligence solutions according to business requirements.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather detailed requirements and report specifications.

• Develop and maintain dashboards, analytics, and reporting tools using BI platforms.
• Ensure data integrity and accuracy through meticulous validation and testing processes.
• Integrate BI dashboards with varied database systems for real-time data availability.
• Identify data patterns and trends crucial for strategic opportunities and improvements.
• Collaborate with data engineers and analysts to optimize performance of BI systems.
• Proactively monitor BI systems and troubleshoot any data discrepancies or issues.
• Continuously explore new BI technologies and recommend best practices to improve processes.
• Provide training and support to end-users on BI applications and functionalities.
• Document BI processes and systems accurately to maintain effective communication internally.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• Proven experience with BI software, such as Power BI or Tableau.
• Strong knowledge of SQL and other database query languages is critical.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills in business intelligence context.
• Experience with data modeling, warehousing, and ETL processes are required.
• Strong communication skills to effectively explain technical concepts to stakeholders.
• Ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment with minimal supervision.
