Job Description

As a Technical Surveyor, you will be an integral part of our team, providing essential expertise in surveying to support a variety of projects. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of land surveying, site measurements, and topographical assessments to ensure project accuracy, compliance, and success. You will utilize your skills in field work and data analysis to collect and interpret survey reports, and work collaboratively with engineers, architects, and construction managers. The position demands precision, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Your role will contribute significantly to the planning, development, and successful execution of projects by providing precise and reliable data. Responsibilities

  • Conduct detailed land surveys to establish legal property boundaries with accuracy.
  • Analyze survey data to create maps, plots, and detailed reports.
  • Coordinate with project managers to align survey results with project requirements.
  • Provide technical expertise and advice during construction and planning phases.
  • Use and maintain surveying equipment, including levels, theodolites, and GPS technology.
  • Verify the accuracy of survey data, including measurements and calculations.
  • Collaborate with engineers and architects to develop design plans based on survey results.
  • Perform topographic and as-built surveys to document existing site conditions accurately.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal surveying standards and regulations.
  • Prepare and present survey results and recommendations to stakeholders effectively.
  • Manage surveying projects from inception through to completion with minimal supervision.
  • Train junior team members on surveying techniques and data interpretation.


Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in surveying, geomatics, or a related field is required.
  • A minimum of three years’ experience in a similar surveying role is essential.
  • Proficient in using CAD software and other industry-specific tools and applications.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail are crucial for this role.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and independently manage tasks.
  • Excellent communication skills for presenting and preparing survey reports.
  • Valid land surveying license or certification is mandatory for this position.
