Lead Piping Engineer (225-827)

The Lead Piping Engineer will play a critical role in overseeing and managing the piping engineering team within our organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical leadership, direction, and oversight to ensure the successful design, implementation, and maintenance of piping systems. Working closely with cross-functional teams, the Lead Piping Engineer will ensure that all projects conform to industry standards and regulations, while meeting quality, budgetary, and time objectives. Responsibilities

• Develop and oversee piping system designs, ensuring they meet project specifications.
• Provide leadership and direction to a team of piping engineers and designers.

• Review and approve piping documents and drawings for accuracy and completeness.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant industry standards and regulations.
• Prepare and manage project budgets and timelines for piping engineering tasks.
• Resolve technical issues and provide engineering solutions during project execution.
• Conduct regular project reviews and report on progress to upper management.
• Mentor and train junior engineers to foster their professional development.
• Utilize engineering software for design and analysis of piping systems effectively.
• Liaise with clients and stakeholders to provide updates and gather project requirements.
• Identify areas for improvement in existing processes and implement changes as necessary.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field is required.
• Extensive experience in piping design and engineering within similar industries.
• Proven leadership skills with experience managing engineering teams effectively.
• Strong knowledge of piping systems, materials, codes, and standards.
• Proficiency in piping design software and engineering analysis tools.
• Excellent communication skills for collaboration with team members and stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple projects at the same time, maintaining organized workflows.

• Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification is preferred.
