Job Description

1.       PLANNING & SCHEDULING ENGINEER

Responsible for working under TA Manager for planning and scheduling activities for entire TA.

 

Roles:

 

Ø  Managing end-to-end planning and be the focal person for all sort of reporting of TA activities.

Ø  Should be well versed in maintenance of static equipment planning and scheduling like exchanger,

vessels, drums, columns, reactor Tanks, Valves……

Ø  Should understand OQ JP requirements and complete all necessary JP requirements in coordination with Area engineer and Supervisor.

Ø  Should be well versed in CMMS, Primavera, MS Project, Microsoft office …. etc. Good expertise required in Primavera Resource allocation, resource levelling, detailing scope.

Ø  Should be proficient in report generation for various phases of Turnarounds including Manpower and equipment histograms, progress reporting…etc. Preparation Progress Report daily, weekly or as required including S-Curve.

Ø  Carry out schedule up-dating and issue various look-ahead schedules as required.

Ø  Able to carry out delay analysis and recommend the catch-up/recovery plans.

Ø  Able to identify and track critical path activities to achieve scheduled completion of activities.

Ø  Able to identify the risk involved in each job, plan mitigation and incorporate them in the schedule.

Ø  Prepare Shutdown maintenance execution schedules in micro level, monitor completion of the work carried out and forecasts activities during shutdowns.

Ø  Ability to lead scheduling team and co-ordinate activities.

Ø  Identify the project deliverables, milestones, and required tasks and targets to determine the staffing requirements and allocate resources to various phases of the project.

Ø  Assist TA Manager at site and office all the time.

Ø  Proven ability to work well both independently and within a team environment.

Ø  Co-ordinate with vendors, subcontractors, other service providers to get inputs for scheduling.

Ø  Attending preparation / progress meeting with Client.

Ø  Planning and system support for Shutdown activities through close liaison with the subcontractors and with the Client.

Ø  Capture progress and highlight issues related to JP, Scaffolding, Insulation, WO/Reservation, site line up activities

Ø  Allocation of manpower at Site with Project In-charge.

Ø  Maintain Change order / additional works control sheets.

Ø  Prepare additional costing as required.

Ø  Project Close-out Report.

Ø  Strong co-ordination, interpersonal skills and should be very good in English communication skills.

Ø  Be part of the Plant PSSR, Start-up/re-commissioning Team.

Ø  Bachelor’s degree in engineering with 12-15 years’ experience in Turnaround maintenance in Refinery/petrochemical industry as a planning and scheduling engineer.
