General Accountant

The General Accountant is responsible for managing financial records, including maintaining and reconciling ledger accounts, preparing balance sheets, and preparing financial reports. They analyze financial information to ensure accuracy and compliance with financial policies and regulations. Additionally, they collaborate with other departments to provide financial information and support decision-making processes.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date ledger accounts.
• Reconcile bank statements and other financial documents.
• Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
• Ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with other departments to provide financial information and support.
• Monitor and assess financial performance and provide recommendations for improvement.
• Assist with the implementation and maintenance of accounting systems and processes.
• Perform other ad-hoc financial tasks as assigned.
• Stay updated on accounting standards and best practices.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Professional certification such as CPA or CMA is preferred.
• Proven experience as an Accountant or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
