The role of a Deputy Store Manager within a sports retail environment is both challenging and rewarding. Responsibilities

  • Support the Store Manager in day-to-day store operations and management tasks.
  • Ensure excellent customer service standards are met consistently in the store.
  • Lead, motivate, and develop the store team to achieve store goals.
  • Manage inventory levels, stock rotations, and handle discrepancies efficiently.
  • Drive sales initiatives and promotional activities to increase store revenue.
  • Oversee cash handling procedures, ensuring accuracy and security at all times.
  • Assist in recruiting, training, and onboarding new store team members.
  • Maintain store visual merchandising standards to enhance customer engagement.
  • Analyze sales reports and customer feedback to formulate improvement strategies.
  • Resolve customer complaints swiftly, ensuring customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Plan and execute store events that engage and attract the local community.
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies and local business regulations.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a retail management role, preferably within the sports industry.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and develop a team.
  • Excellent customer service skills and a passion for working with the public.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask effectively under pressure.
  • Solid understanding of retail KPIs, store operations, and inventory management.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, for diverse interactions.
