Job Description

A Site Engineer - Mechanical is a pivotal role in the engineering and construction domain primarily responsible for overseeing and executing mechanical projects on site. This position requires a comprehensive understanding of mechanical systems and an ability to manage varied tasks including design, implementation, and troubleshooting of systems in a construction environment. The Site Engineer - Mechanical works closely with project managers, architects, and other engineers to ensure projects are delivered successfully. The ideal candidate demonstrates excellent problem-solving skills, technical acumen, and effective communication abilities. With hands-on experience in the field, they ensure that all mechanical aspects of the project comply with regulatory standards, safety regulations, and the project's requirements. Responsibilities

  • Supervise mechanical installation, maintenance, and repair activities on construction sites.
  • Coordinate with project managers to ensure alignment of mechanical tasks with project timelines.
  • Monitor progress, ensuring compliance with design specifications and quality standards.
  • Conduct site inspections to ensure adherence to safety regulations and protocols.
  • Oversee and assist in troubleshooting mechanical issues during project execution.
  • Prepare and maintain updated documentation and reports on project progress and changes.
  • Collaborate with architects and engineers to ensure seamless integration of mechanical systems.
  • Manage subcontractors and vendors to ensure timely and quality project outcomes.
  • Implement and promote best practices in mechanical engineering on site.
  • Address and resolve any unexpected technical difficulties or inefficiencies on site.
  • Ensure that all equipment and materials are available and conform to specifications.
  • Facilitate communication between the project team and stakeholders to manage expectations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in mechanical site engineering or similar roles.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, building codes, and construction processes.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to provide innovative solutions.
  • Proficient in using project management and CAD software for engineering designs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective team collaboration.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and adapt to changing priorities.
