Responsibilities

• Design and develop processes for manufacturing chemicals efficiently and safely.
• Conduct research to develop new and improved chemical manufacturing processes.
• Analyze existing production processes to identify inefficiencies or unsafe practices.
• Implement new technologies to improve quality and reduce production costs.
• Work collaboratively with safety and regulatory teams to ensure compliance.
• Create detailed process-flow diagrams and process instrumentation diagrams.
• Develop and scale up new processes from laboratory to full production scale.
• Monitor and optimize chemical processes for productivity and safety.
• Analyze data from trials and tests to identify and solve process issues.
• Liaise with suppliers and clients to determine engineering requirements.
• Prepare detailed technical reports and present findings to stakeholders.
• Keep abreast with developments and innovations in the chemical engineering field.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Proven experience working in chemical processing or production environments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills essential for process design.
• Knowledge of chemical process modeling software like Aspen Plus is beneficial.
• Understanding of industry standards and safety regulations for chemical engineering.
• Effective communication skills necessary for working in multidisciplinary teams.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks efficiently.
