Responsibilities
Design and develop processes for manufacturing chemicals efficiently and safely.
Conduct research to develop new and improved chemical manufacturing processes.
Analyze existing production processes to identify inefficiencies or unsafe practices.
Implement new technologies to improve quality and reduce production costs.
Work collaboratively with safety and regulatory teams to ensure compliance.
Create detailed process-flow diagrams and process instrumentation diagrams.
Develop and scale up new processes from laboratory to full production scale.
Monitor and optimize chemical processes for productivity and safety.
Analyze data from trials and tests to identify and solve process issues.
Liaise with suppliers and clients to determine engineering requirements.
Prepare detailed technical reports and present findings to stakeholders.
Keep abreast with developments and innovations in the chemical engineering field.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or a related discipline.
Proven experience working in chemical processing or production environments.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills essential for process design.
Knowledge of chemical process modeling software like Aspen Plus is beneficial.
Understanding of industry standards and safety regulations for chemical engineering.
Effective communication skills necessary for working in multidisciplinary teams.
Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks efficiently.
