We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of NetBackup and Commvault SME /SCS.

In this role, you will:

• Carry out NetBackup and Commvault Installation & configuration (L3)
• Perform regular System maintenance, Patch management.
• Perform Incident Solving and Change implementation.
• Analyse/solve Performance and Security issues.
• Perform regular Data Recovery Tests and Disaster Recovery procedures.
• Plan and perform regular maintenance tasks such as software version upgrades, firmware updates, migrations and hardware diagnostics of NetBackup appliances and other Backup Infrastructure.
• Maintain Backup Infrastructure to mitigate security vulnerabilities and meet organizational standards.
  
  

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

• 12+ years of experience in Veritas NetBackup and Commvault Administration.
• Strong experience on Linux and scripting (preferably: shell, python, puppet)
• Hands-on experience on Veritas Appliances and Data Domain appliances.
• Clear understanding on SLP and Vault
• Experience in Oracle/SQL/ESX/NDMP Integration with NetBackup
• Should have clear understanding on TCP/IP concepts.
• Should have clear understanding on SAN Infrastructure and Architecture.
• Understanding of functional requirements and translation of business requirements into technical specifications.
