SAP ABAP Programmer (225-813)

As a SAP ABAP Programmer, you'll be an essential part of a development team that leverages SAP technology to deliver business solutions. Your primary responsibilities will include programming, testing, and documenting custom SAP software solutions to enhance business processes. You will work closely with business analysts and users to understand and translate requirements into executable ABAP code. This role requires a strong understanding of the SAP application and experience in developing efficient and quality ABAP code. Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain SAP ABAP programs to meet business needs effectively.
• Collaborate with functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Debug and analyze issues related to SAP applications and interface systems to ensure seamless functionality.
• Create technical documentation for all SAP applications and ABAP code ensuring accurate knowledge transfer.
• Perform system testing to assess code quality and functionality before deployment into production environments.
• Work with SAP modules including FI, MM, SD, and PP, providing specialized ABAP support.
• Develop custom applications using SAP tools such as ALV, BAPI, and BADI when necessary.
• Integrate SAP applications with non-SAP systems ensuring smooth interoperability.
• Maintain and optimize existing SAP applications to improve performance and user experience.
• Stay informed about current SAP technologies and trends to continuously improve skills and knowledge.
• Participate in code reviews to maintain the quality and standard of SAP applications development.
• Provide training and support to users and team members on new and existing SAP applications.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of proven experience in SAP ABAP programming and development.
• Strong understanding of SAP modules such as FI, SD, MM, and PP.
• Proficient in ABAP programming languages and familiar with its development tools.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to debug complex SAP issues.
• Strong analytical capabilities with great attention to detail and quality assurance.
• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience with user-interface development in SAP using SAP Fiori or SAP UI5 is a plus.
• Knowledge of integrating SAP with other platforms using ALE, EDI, or RFCs is beneficial.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment as well as independently.
